Instructional Leadership: Definitions and EvidenceSchool leadership is the second most influential school-level factor in student learning and teachers view school leadership as the most or second most influential factors on their instructional and career decisions.  However, the role of principals has changed to focus more on instructional leadership. In October 2017, Lisa Lachlan-Haché presented on instructional leadership for the Texas Education Agency. The presentation provided an overview on the changing roles of principals and defining instructional leadership as the principal and as a distributed task in schools.
