Recruitment and Workforce Practices

What are the obstacles and conditions that inhibit high-need schools from successfully recruiting the teachers they seek?  At the “Topical Meeting on Equitable Access to Excellent Teachers and Leaders,” hosted by the Center on Great Teachers and Leaders (GTL Center) and the Council of Chief State School Officers on February 3 and 4, 2015, Public Impact’s Bryan Hassel and Nita Losoponkul discuss recruitment challenges.  The presentation provides an array of possible state strategies to help districts more successfully recruit desired teachers.
