Program Exemplar

This study, commissioned by the Oklahoma State Regents of Higher Education, examines how patterns of supply and demand vary by teaching subject area and geographic location in Oklahoma.

The Relay Teaching Residency program is a two-year experience that provides aspiring teachers with a supportive, gradual introduction to teaching. Residents serve as a full-time teacher-in-residence supporting a lead classroom teacher in their first year while earning teaching certification and a master's degree. After completion of the first year residents receive support finding a position as a fully-licensed lead teacher.
